This policy covers the RadiologyMate public measurement website (radiologymate.com and its foot. / leg. subdomains) and the "RadiologyMate - Foot CIA Snip" Chrome extension. By uploading an image or using the extension you accept the terms below.

Medical disclaimer & terms of use

This tool provides automated measurements for research and assistance only. It is not a medical device and must not be used for diagnosis, screening, or any treatment decision. Results may be inaccurate or incomplete and must be independently verified by a qualified professional. You are solely responsible for any use of the output. The tool is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and to the maximum extent permitted by law the author accepts no liability for any loss or harm arising from its use.

Your responsibility for uploaded images

You must only upload images you are entitled to use - de-identified data, or data you have a lawful basis / patient consent to process. Do not upload identifiable patient data. You remain the controller of any personal data you choose to upload.

What the extension does

When you click the extension icon and draw a selection on the current tab, the extension captures the pixels inside that selection and sends them to the RadiologyMate Foot measurement service to compute the Calcaneal Inclination Angle. The result and an overlay image are returned and shown to you.

Data we process

• Image data: only the rectangular region you select is captured and sent. No full-page capture, browsing history, cookies, or other tab data is read.
• Where it is sent: https://foot.radiologymate.com/api/measure/adhoc (the RadiologyMate measurement server).

De-identification

• On intake the server strips DICOM identifier tags (patient name, ID, accession, institution, private tags, etc.) and processes only the image pixels.
• Limitation: text that is burned into the image pixels (e.g. a name printed in a corner of the X-ray) cannot be removed and will remain in the image and overlay. Please upload images without burned-in identifiers.

Storage and retention

• The image is processed to produce the measurement and an overlay image.
• Public self-serve uploads are ephemeral and automatically deleted after approximately 2 hours; they are not added to any registry or patient cohort.
• Large leg DICOMs are uploaded to a private Google Cloud Storage bucket (region europe-west1, EU) only as a transit step; the file is deleted immediately after the measurement, with a 1-day automatic lifecycle rule as a backstop.
• Hosting and storage are provided by Google Cloud (Cloud Run + Cloud Storage) acting as our processor. No analytics or advertising trackers are used.

What we do NOT do

• We do not collect personal identifiers, account data, or analytics.
• We do not sell or share data with third parties.
• The extension only acts on the tab when you explicitly click it and draw a box.

Permissions

• activeTab + scripting: inject the selection tool and capture the visible tab only after you click the icon.
• host access to foot.radiologymate.com: send the selected image to the measurement endpoint and display the returned overlay.
